Qualifications

Literacy Aotearoa Training is the training arm of Literacy Aotearoa and is accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority as a Private Training Establishment.
Literacy Aotearoa Training provides a range of education and training programmes.  These include training and professional development workshops for our own member providers and for other organisations and practitioners who are working in the field of adult literacy.
Literacy Aotearoa Poupou (Member Providers) offer the Local Course approved Certificate in Adult Literacy Tutoring (CALT) to groups of adult literacy educators (or intending adult literacy educators) around the country.  This is the minimum requirement for intending Literacy Aotearoa Adult Literacy Tutors. Click here for more info on CALT.
To register for the NCALE (National Certificate Adult Literacy Educator) Course, go to the Course Catalogue below to complete a registration form.
If you are a qualified Adult Literacy Tutor and are interested in tutoring, click here and contact a Poupou (Literacy Aotearoa member provider) near to you.
